Any SOA fans?

Just wondering if there are any Sons of Anarchy fans on here?  I got into it over the summer by watching the first three seasons on Netflix in one week, and now I am obsessed.  So obsessed that I stay up WAY past my bedtime on Tuesdays to watch the new episodes.

So, anyone want to discuss?

I am! I am! Hardcore fan here...I was the same way. I wtached the 1st 3 seasons ina  week ( Pre baby) and it has been my favorite ever since. Discuss away...but I didn't see last nights episode yet ....

I'm a fan!  I haven't seen last night's episode yet.  I did like last week's episode, it reminded me more of how it used to be, (a little) light and funny.  It has been so intense the past few seasons that it was getting a little too heavy, ya know what I mean? Jax is a cutie, he used to date Liv Tyler, but I don't know if they are together still.  His English accent comes out here and there.  The Hells Angels are the advisors to the show, the story line is getting a little out there sometimes, and I wonder how many more times they can land in jail and get out.

I still call Tara, Tar-tar like her crazy ex on the first season.   I really despised that woman CIA agent, I was very happy when Gemma killed her.  I was sad about Opie's death, but poor guy went through so much.  I just read this article it explains Kurt Sutter's reason for killing him off. 

Yay, I found another fan, its hard to find other people who watch this show.

Super - If you can't stomach violence, this show is extremely violent.  DH has to FFW some scenes sometimes because its too much.

Super - it is so, so good but can be very violent sometimes.  I was hiding until a blanket last night during one part.  But the story line is just awesome.

Nikki - Ok I won't put in any last night spoilers!  Who is your favorite character?  What do you think about this season so far?

 Thank you for the article shediva! I am going to read it right now. I was very sad about Opie - he was one of my favorites and I thought he was very attractive too. Especially the first couple seasons - rawr! ;o)

Last night's episode was pretty good - you and nikki will  have to let me know what you think! There were some parts that were predictable, and others where I had no idea what was coming next.

Oh and I think Jimmy Smits is HOT with all of his tattoos - yum!

DH loves this show and I only watch it because he does but I do like it. I generally end up watching it with my hands covering my face and DH is giving me play by play of what is happening because I don't like gore.  

I was sad about Opie, that guy could never catch a break.  I like the Gemma and Tara dynamic and now that the baby mamma is back I want to see how that plays out.   

I believe Gemma's real husband is a producer or director of the show.  They must have an interesting relationship for all of the crazy situations he puts her in on the show.

Favorite Character is Jax and Chibs...Jax is too cute and he is just trying to find his place. They had to kill Opie for Jax to take the full power back of the club and to break him down to rebuild him. I predict he gets in tight with pope and learns from him.

Jimmy smits is a great addition..so was Danny Trejo-I love it! Least favorite would be Clay. OMG he makes my skin crawl!!!

if you like Charlie Hunnam I suggest renting Green Street Hooligans...he is so cute in that movie.. but it is violent.

I know Gemma's character goes through a lot, she has s_x with Clay, Tig, and now Jimmy Smit's character (sorry Colleen I'm going to have to disagree, I can't stand that tan line around his neck!).  She also gets beat by Clay (azzhole).  Did you guys know that her husband/producer played a character too, he was the prisoner who got his eye poked out in the earlier seasons.  I forgot if he killed himself off the show or not?

I know, it's crazy.   I actually asked my husband about him recently and he said he is still alive.  I think he tried to kill himself at one point as maybe a distraction.  I can remember, like I said I watch with my eyes covered half the time.

Kurt Sutter played Otto and he is still alive in jail -I am sure they will revisit since they know he turned on Bobby and SAMCRO....

I had no idea Sutter was Otto!  I won't spoil anything, but yes Otto is still alive.  I did know that he was Katey Sagal's husband though.  I guess that is how Peg Bundy made her resurrgence.  I think Jimmy Smits wife is Carla, right?

Shediva - I think my love for Jimmy Smits is left over from NYPD Blue.

I am defintely going to watch Green Street Hooligans now. I don't think he's been in much else though, right? 

Also, I am obsessed with Tig. He is so creepy and weird, and yet likeable.  Chibs is awesome too.

I watched the latest episode last night, WOW it was crazy! 

1. WTH was up with the half sister (I'm bad with names) I didn't get that whole set up, why did she kill herself?
   
2.  I wonder why Tara lied to Jax about not seeing Otto.  Weird I brought up Otto and lo and behold there he is.  
   
3. Tig is pretty careless, didn't Jax warn him to not do things on impulse? 
   
4. I feel sorry for the Sheriff, stupid Clay and his antics, what's that all about?

Sorry I have so many questions, there was just so much happening.

I didn't quite get the half sister part (didn't he say they "found her on the street" in Florida or something?) But from what I gathered she was depressed and in love with Nero and when Gemma showed up she went off her meds, which is why she killed herself.

1.  I wonder why Tara lied to Jax about not seeing Otto.  Weird I brought up Otto and lo and behold there he is.  

I know it was funny when I read that yesterday because I had already seen the episode. I am curious to see where this goes.  Actually when the guys were in prison and they had to choose someone to kill, I was like "why don't they just kill Otto?!" PS - I can't believe I never knew Sutter was Otto until you guys told me!

Yes you're right, Jax did say that.  I read an interview where either Kim Coates or Sutter said that Tig was going to go to a really dark place this season. On another note, I really didn't like the scene where they killed the wife.  Ugh movies/shows where they make someone watch a loved one die really get me.

I feel really sorry for the Sheriff. I thought they were going to keep her alive but she wouldn't be able to have kids anymore.  I couldn't believe when they killed her.  I have no idea where the home invasion story line is going?

Also, I said this previously, but I wish they would kill off Uncer!!

Colleen cleared this up but I also think that they did this for 2 reasons-to give Nero a backstory and to then bring Clay and Gemma together so that Clay had something on Nero and had something to hold over Gemma. 

1.  I wonder why Tara lied to Jax about not seeing Otto.  Weird I brought up Otto and lo and behold there he is.  

I think she lied because she doesn't want Jax or the club to think she can't handle getting things done. This is her way of helping the club and this season she is so into the club and being the pres. wife. She needs to prove she can do whatever she can do to help jax and the club. If she told jax he would have just killed Otto whoch still leads back to anyone in the club having protection issues if they get put back in jail.

1. Tig is pretty careless, didn't Jax warn him to not do things on impulse? 

He did warn him but in this situation he had to kill the wofe because she was a witness. This was revenge for Opie so in Jax's mind it was okay. oh Tig is becoming unhinged...I can't wait to see where they take his character.

Clay is trying hard to split the club in two whoch is why he brought in the nomads. He wants people in charming to doubt the MC and to make Jax look weak. He lies about everything and is going to great lengths to bring down the club via Jax. He has nothing without the club and Gemma...I HATE him!!!!! omg he is such a creeper.
