About the same. DH its still not on board about getting her help. I'm at the point where I feel like I just don't know how to be her mom. Last year I told a judge that I was the best choice for her mother. I still am compared to her bio mom, but I feel like I'm failing. Every time she acts up, I think I'm reacting incorrectly because she simply refuses to correct her behavior. Sigh.

I am not sure if I have told you, but I have a very similar situation.  I too have a SD who has a worthless bio mom.  We have had a LOT of behavioral issues with her as well.  It took a long time to get DH to agree to counseling for her.  We went through three different counselors, but SD continued to just lie to each of them just like she does everyone else.  We wasted thousands of dollars on trying to get her help.  She clearly didn't want it, so the joke was on us.

btsrc5 I knew you had a SD, but not about the issues. How old is she? Are you still struggling with her behavior? I'm sorry that you have the same issues. It its a terrible thing to deal with. I am glad that I "know" you since you understand and we can help each other.

She is 15 now.  Unfortunately, yes, we are still having major issues.  I don't want to make you think there is no hope for you because I truly believe there are children in these situations that can and will change.  However, it seems as though we are fighting a losing battle with SD.  Maybe one day when she is grown she will look back and understand, but I honestly don't have high hopes for that.
