I'd go to a drug store or Walmart and see if they have a cheap electric pump. I have an evenflo dual electric that cost 60 that I keep at work so I don't have to worry about forgetting my Pisa one day. It's not for every day pumping but its come in handy!
I've been there . I had to run out during my lunch that day and buy a medela harmony. Needless to say, I always keep extra pump parts and a manual pump in my drawer just in case that ever happens again. *HUGS*
I dread the day this will inevitably happen. My sister (who lives out of town) has her old pump she is supposed to bring me next time she visits, I plan on keeping it at work as a backup. If she forgets it (she has been promising to bring us a swing for months) I might just get a cheap one to leave at work for this exact situation.
Whatever you do to make it through the day, good luck!
Thanks All. I live too far to run home and the sad thing is, I do have a cheap single one (just got a double one a few weeks ago)! So lesson learned, I will be leaving that one in the car for situations like this, but I can almost guarantee that I won't forget it again! I've been trying to pump/nurse more to increase my supply too, ugh! I'm hoping I can maybe express some manually, but I've never had the greatest luck with that. Thanks for your well wishes, it makes me feel a little better!
Oh no! I am terrified of this happening to me. I've been leaving my pump at work during the week and only taking it home on Fridays for exactly this reason.
