Scared to Hit 38 weeks!!!!

Hello I'm crrently 37 wks and I have ahistory of a previous 38 week IUFD. I'm very scared of hitting this gestation. I think I'm going to drive my husband and family crazy before it is over. Trying not to freak out, what should I do?

Relax? Just know if there's something you're concerned about, you can call your Dr. or go to LD.

Hi Shaunice, I am so sorry for your previous loss. My daughter was stillborn at 31 weeks without explanation. Because of this, we will start weekly scans and NSTs at 30 weeks and I will not be going past 38 weeks. My doc and I agree that once I hit 37 weeks, baby will be safer out than in. If you are experiencing severe stress, call your doctor and see if you can go in to get baby checked out and see if you've made any progress.

I am so sorry for your loss.
I think you should speak to your OB or MFM (if you have one).  Was there an explanation for your loss?  I had NST and BPP weekly starting at 32 weeks w/ both my daughter and son after our loss at 41weeks.  If they are not taking you early (like PP said, they decided for me that at 37 weeks my babies were safer out than in  DD was born @ 36w6d and DS was born @ 37w3d)  I would insist on some sort of monitoring.

Thanks for the kind words and advice, I have a DR's appointment this friday and I will be stressing my concerns to the Doctor, because I just don't want to take a chance.
