Question about sunning

Can you sun diapers that are already dry? I'm about to pack up some of our NB diapers, but they're already clean. This may be a silly question, but I honestly don't know. Thanks in advance!

I was under the impression they'd have to be freshly washed. I could be wrong. I always dry/sun them straight out of the washer.

They need to be wet. Just wet them down in the sink or tub or take a spray bottle of water to them.

On this note, how do you sun in the winter time?

True- but I just picture the cold wet, diapercicles I'd be bringing in off the deck and to me that is a "what now?" moment! What's your experience? Do you sun them dry, then, or through the window?
