Hi Moms!
I know as your baby gets older you should be cutting back the amount of formula they have but my questions is when did you cut down to just a morning and night bottle of formula for your baby or how many formula bottles a day does your 10 month old gets?

Re: # of Formula Bottles a day for 10 months
Neither of my kids have eaten 24 ounces past 6 months. My oldest ate about 26 per day until starting solids, then dropped to 22ish and at about 8 months was at 18 ounces, where she stayed for quite some time.
My youngest never ate more then 24 ounces ever and after we started solids dropped to about 20 ounces and now is at about 16. She spreads that out over 4 bottles and so even though I would like to change it to 3, she eats only 13 ounces then and that's not enough. I honestly can't remember when I dropped to 3 bottles for my oldest but I know that at a year she was still at 2.

Started our exploration into the world of international adoption June 2012. We have no idea what this is going to look like but we are excited to find out!
My son is almost 11 months and eats 8-10 bottles of formula a day, but they're each only 3 or 4 oz (he won't eat more than that at a time). This is in addition to his oatmeal and baby food throughout the day.
I've never been told that we should be cutting down on formula or how much he should be eating. I've been trying to cut back so he'll eat more solids (and formula's so expensive!), but I'm glad I know now that's definitely what we should be doing.
We were told at our 9 month well check that baby should only be getting 24oz of formula a day, and the rest of his nutrients from food.
Currently, DS will be turning 11 months on Friday, and gets about 20oz a day give or take. Still 4 bottles, but 6oz in the morning and before bed. 4oz during morning and afternoon while at DC.
