2 month old know his name?!?

LO is 2 and half months and this morning I noticed every time I say his name he will smile.  Then he was sitting in my lap turned away, when i said his name he turned and looked right at me, I tried other words (thinking that its just the sound of my voice he is noticing) but he doesn't react the same.

    I actually noticed this today with Emma.

    I was wondering the same as you.

    But I think it's the fact that it's a common word that they hear again and again.

    So there is deffinately an understanding that that sound (their name) must have some meaning.

    I swear sometimes she thinks her name is "Pretty Baby" as well as Emma because she responds to both the same way. LOL
