Question to those married to a man who is not LO's bio dad

Did you keep your last name the same as your child's or did you take your new husband's last name? My DH is planning to adopt Bug, so he will have our last name...just curious what you ladies did...

Is your kid's bio-dad in the picture?  Because while my biological father has questionable parenting abilities even on his best days, I doubt my mother changing his kids last names would have flown.

No, he's not. He has not paid child support or asked to see Bug. Bug calls DH Daddy.

I kept my own name the first time and my kids were hyphenated so we never had the same last name. Now that I'm remarried I still kept my name and the kids still have their hyphenated name. I am pregnant now and this child will also have a hypenated name. So, all the kids will share one of their last names.

DH is not Rosie's bio dad. Rosie was given my last name at birth, she was not by any means getting ex douche canoes last name since he was leaving her. Anyways, DH and I aren't married yet. However, we are getting married next Halloween. The plan is to change my last name, and then change Rosie's last name. I like having everyone have the same last name in the family. I have seen mothers, fathers, and siblings have issues at like the Emergency room cuz they didn't share the same last name. So, I'll pay the money to have it changed.
