DD goes to pre-k twice a week and calls me when DH picks her up. DH  told me that the teacher pulled him aside today to tell him that she was the only one in the class that recognized all of the letters, even out of sequence and that that's "exceptional." Awww I am so proud of my big girl. When she got on the phone, she of course told me about the conversation too, ha ha.

That's so awesome! I would be crazy proud too.

Sydney recognizes some letters and can tell me a few words that they start with and every time she does, I am just so darn proud of her.

Awwww - bright girl!! Ella's getting pretty good w/ her letter sounds - so if I say what animals start with Ku sound (C), she can rattle off a couple. She saw the "Gerber" name on her toddler spoon this morning and asked me "what's that word?" That's the first time she's really connected all the dots w/ letters and words. Sometimes she'll say "what's that say" but she's never asked waht a "word" was. I don't knwo if that's unusual or whatever, but it was really cool to hear her do that.
