Naps are getting harder

DS used to take all or most of his naps in the swing.  Most of the time I could just put him in there, turn on the sound machine and he was out.  The later in the day, the harder it is for him to sleep so the last nap of the day we sometimes had to hold him.  Now he isn't even going to sleep in there for the morning nap, the easiest one!  He's been fighting it for half an hour now and I know he is tired.  I know he wants me to hold him.  Why is this getting harder instead of easier???

For the past week I've been having to either hold ds or at least sit right next to him on the couch, while he naps. As soon as I move, he wakes up!

Im sure this is just the wonder week thing, and they'll outgrow this soon.

I sat next to the swing and sang to him and that worked!  Whew.  I am hoping it is just the wonder week and we will be back to normal in a week or two.  I hope he's not getting sick.  Both DS1 and I have had awful coughs the last few days.

Naps are hard at this stage. Day sleep it's regularly established until 4 months or so....I just expect it to be annoying so I don't get frustrated! He barely sleeps at all during the day.

I feel for you.  DD has fought naps since about 1 week old.  I HAVE to wear her if I want her to nap.  She's impossible.

GL!  I hope it's just a phase!  Maybe try putting him down sooner?

Could be the 9 week growth spurt?

ETA:  It could be that he could be waking up to the world too?

This is me. He sleeps at night. I'll take that.

I have a LO that sttn too. We call the catnapper during the day. I don't mind it... So far!! Lol
