I'm having mixed feelings. I'm really excited for her because I think it will be good for her but I'm worried she is going to be awful. lol
When we were touring they were doing lunch. All the kids were sitting still being quiet in their chairs while the lady was portioning out all the food. They were so patient and quiet and I just kept thinking to myself "C would be screaming or running around the room right now". I seriously think she is going to have a hard time adjusting.
Also, she is a bully. We went to the playground yesterday and she hit another little boy twice (just swats on the body but still). And she climbed up in the middle of this slide jungle gym thing and then would yell at the other boys when they tried to climb up. I had dreams last night that they kicked her out of daycare after one day. LOL
Re: C starts daycare Monday! :(
While I understand your concerns, it will be great for her. She is going to learn so much! It will be a bit of a transition, but it will be fine! Let us know how it goes.
Putting DD in daycare is the best decision I have ever made. She loves it. We love it. Total win for our family. Do I miss her and wish I could be home with her? Yes. But, she gets to do so much at daycare that I know I would not do with her at home daily. Art projects, playground, etc.
I will also tell you that you will be amazed at the things that they will get your child to do. I was so worried about the transition as well, but now she is sleeping on a cot, sitting in a chair and eating at a table, sitting in a circle for song and story time, etc. She loves all of her friends and is such a social butterfly now. We couldn't be happier.

Oh yeah I'm not really worried about the emotional aspect. I'm really excited for her to get to interact with other kids her age and to finally have some alone time (bad mom alert ).
I am just seriously freaking out about her being good while she's there. I'm sure she will adjust and be perfectly fine though.
DD is the same at daycare. She doesn't give them any trouble during diaper changes. It baffles my mind!
This is reassuring. Hopefully it's like my dogs who are terrors at home but our coworkers always say are great for them when they're boarding.
She will not be awful, and I guarantee even if takes her awhile to adjust, they've seen worse. (That's what I tell myself when D bites other kids!) It may take her a little bit to adjust, but she might surprise you, too.
Just be prepared to cry when you drop her off. It's hard the first time, but it gets easier!
