Does he or she spit up a lot afterwards or having gas pains? If not, I wouldn't worry. Sometimes they just don't need to burp. You could give your baby some gas drops after the bottle if you're worried.

Have you tried sittinn the baby on your lap and using one hand to support under the jaw and the other to pat the back?  There is something about the compression in the belly for this position and the patting that usually gets a burp out of my little guy.  GL

my 6wk hates to burp. doc told me as long as he doesnt spit up every time he doesnt purp then he is fine. but i have noticed if he doesnt burp, he becomes gassy. but i guess its another way for him to release any bubbles he may have

Sometimes changing positions helps. Get up with him and walk around, lay him on your chest, etc.

DS rarely burps. Especially when we sit and burp him. Usually it'll just be a random one if I pick him up.
