I don't see one and I just need a place to brag! Of course this will be pretty mundane for everyone else, but oh well.
As I've cried about on here before, in the early weeks I was in too much pain to really sit and snuggle with Paula. If have to lay her down right after feeding her and hope I could rock her to sleep in the RnP unless DH was home. I'm still in pain usually but I can sit pretty comfortably.
Unfortunately, Paula likes to MOVE. She usually gets mad of she's awake and being snuggled unless we are also walking around with her. Well, walking and standing for much time still doesn't work well for me. So again, DH has to take over most of the time. In fact our little sleep routine is such that Paula does most of her sleeping from 2 or so in the morning until 1 or so in the afternoon, so most of her awake time is when DH is available. It's still really damn sad for me, I just want to fully enjoy my baby and give her what she needs. I'm afraid if I stand and walk too much, sitting will become painful again, and then sitting to feed her will no longer be enjoyable.
Well, she's been doing stretches of only 3 hours between feedings for the past 24 hours. Usually I have to wake her after 5 or so hours to eat. She woke up a little after midnight, ate, and I laid her down sleeping in the RnP and I started pumping. She woke up and got mad pretty quickly. So I decided to try something. Picked her up, walked over to our Ikea chair, sat down and rocked her to sleep instantly. Sure, it delayed my pumping a bit, which means not only did I pump a bit more than usual but I also had a little squishy baby sleeping on my chest.
I was so afraid she'd be even more pissed off if I sat down with her instead of walking around, but she just turned her little head and made some cute squeaks and went right to sleep.
She's also really starting to enjoy the activity mat. We have some mirrored toys and she loves looking at the cute little baby who lives in the mirror, and yesterday evening we got her first couple squeals of glee. She is becoming very talkative! And when I am able to walk around with her, she doesn't always fuss any more; she used to mostly stop screaming but still be unhappy, but now she is completely interested in what's going on. Last night she just chilled in my arms and stared at dad loading the dishwasher.
These little moments are so great that not only do I feel bad when I can't have them, but I also feel sick to my stomach when I remember how I missed out on so much in the very beginning. The newborn stage where all she did was sleep for a couple weeks would have been perfect for me to just sit and snuggle her, but I couldn't because it felt like my tailbone was rotting out of my body. Now we'll never get that time back.

I meant to checkin earlier, but I crashed after nursing DS2 and giving him his tylenol. His pedi said to give it every 4 hours for 24 hours after his shots today, so I'm glad he woke every 4 hours so I could just give it to him then!
