B?nai Israel Congregation in Rockville, MD will again offer a five-week series for Jewish expectant parents, entitled "L'Mazel." This series of informal gatherings will include topics such as details for planning a brit milah (ritual circumcision) or naming/simchat bat (welcoming ritual for a baby girl), transitioning from couple to parents, how to select a Jewish name, and building a Jewish home. In addition, we have added a special infant care presentation by a medical professional.
The class will run for five weeks on Monday evenings at B'nai Israel in Rockville. It is scheduled to begin on Monday, October 22, and run through November 19 from 7:30 - 9:00 p.m. [It may be postponed one week and run from October 29-November 26.] Single parents, interfaith couples, and couples considering adoption are all welcome.
