Preemies

Preemies and germs

Is anyone else wrestling with keeping baby safe and avoiding toxic chemicals?  By nature I am not only not germophobic but believe that oversanitizing the world has created a whole set of health issues.  Obviously I need to keep LO in a clean and safe environment, not expose her to people who are sick but do not want her exposed to chemicals that are harmful to her health.  All guests and people who hod her need to wash theirs hands but I do not use chemical sanitizers.

Any suggestions achieving a good balance?

Re: Preemies and germs

  • I have this same struggle.  I have found a balance by using antibacterial soaps/ purell and sanitizing cleansers only for times that we are in contact with public exposure.  We use water/vinegar to do most of the cleaning in our house except when sanitizing toys after we have had other kids over, in the bathroom, and after handling raw foods in the kitchen.

I like the bio kleen products and babyganics surface wipes
