So I've had rosacea since i was about 16 years old and it has been really bothering me again lately. It usually does around this time of the year. I don't want to take any medications for it and was wondering what you do to manage the red and burning?
Thanks,
Re: Anyone with rosacea?
awesome! I'll try that moisturizer. I've been using Nuetrogena calming moisturizer, but its like my skin gets used to things and stops working as it did before. Its so annoying having the burning. and it sucks because i cant do much about it being preggo and all
I'm also going to try to up my water intake, I remember that helped before i got pregnant, and hopefully doubling my water will help this time also.
I was taking Oracea prior to getting pregnant which cleared my face up with in weeks. I never had roscea until about a year or so ago. I have been using Philosophy Hope in a jar for dry skin up until a couple months ago when i had a reaction to it (very strange, doc said pregnany hormone change caused it) however I still highly recommend it since you may not have that issue. I now use cetaphil. My skin is definitely more dry but nowhere near as bad as it was prepregnancy. On a side note, I tried Aveeno, did nothing for me but I still use it on my arms and legs.
Good luck!
I believe you can try omitting certain foods from your diet, such as tomato-based sauces, coffee, and chocolate. I never bothered because I just love food too much:) And no hot tubs and super hot baths/showers, which we can't do anyway during pregnancy. But it took me a long, long time to find the right product for my skin. It's such a pain. Everyone's skin is so different! I will say that the laser treatment, while really embarrassing for awhile, seemed to help a lot with the residual redness.
