11 month old still wakes for bottle couple times a night but only eats 2 to 3 Oz. I plan to Ferber train tonight . Not looking forward to it but somethings gotta change. Advice or success stories greatly appreciated!
We used it at 6.5 months she was waking 56 times a night and naps were only done after swaying with her in my arms for 2o min and I could not put her down. I was beyond exhausted. It honestly wasn't as bad as I expected. The first 2 nights she was up 23 times and crying times lessened every day. I did chart every day and by day 6 we were STTN with little to no fuss and naps were almost an hour a piece with again little to no fussing. It really worked for us! My biggest advice would be to really stick to it and not give in earlier than the times he recommends it was definitely tough the first couple of nights, but Sooooo worth it!! You can do it!! GL :
Hard to do but sounds like you want to. So bite the bullet and know it is over soon. I am not going to lie- with my first, it broke my heart and took an hour and a half the first night but by night 3, it was 2 minutes. After that, we were good to go. Just one piece of advice, don't give in once you decide to do it. Then you have wasted a night and back to square one.
By the way, the night after it took 1 1/2 hours, I thought she was going to be pissed of- but in i walked and she had a huge grin on her face that morning She was around 6 ish months.
Or... it might just last a few min. When we cut out night feeding, DS only fussed about 10 min 1st night and then nothing!! (note: we had prior done version of ferber for getting to sleep that wasn't quite as easy) Good luck Mama! It might be tough for a bit but VERY worth it!
Omgosh! So much easier than I thought it be! She only woke twice. First time 8 minutes, second 9 minutes! I was expecting a lot more. And she slept the longest she's ever slept too 11 plus hours! I just hugged her gave a kiss and rubbed her back and said its bedtime and walked out. No feeding no pickups. I only had to go in the one time each cry too. Why did I wait so long to do this!
