Hey ladies! Sorry it's been awhile! I hope it is ok for me to pop back in here! I took a step back from the board when my husband and I started trying again. I just need some support and know you ladies would understand. You all were also very supportive to me when I lost our lo.
I am sorry I haven't been here to support all of you but know I think of all of you and hope you all are doing well! To those who are new to the board I am truly sorry for your loss!
Well it's been almost five months of trying and my husband and I are starting to become concerned. We got pregnant rather easily first time. So Tuesday I go in to talk with my doctor. I had messaged her expressing my concerns and she asked to see me since I have a "special situation". For those who don't know I had to have a d&c at 21 weeks after loss of our lo due to an abnormality. Well this is we're most of my concern comes from. My doctor said in the beginning that there could be a possibility of scarring. Has anyone else experienced something similar? I really don't know what to expect at this doctors appointment!?!?! I have put a list of questions together to ask. I hoping that you ladies an shed some light on this and what to expect/ask while there?!?!?
Re: Needed some support and feel like u will understand....****TTC MENTIONED***
Mcarter127, thank you! Well unfortunately my doctor was unable to be the one to preform the procedure. However did my follow-up examine. Here are some questions I have regarding such a procedure. What is the recovery time for this and how will it affect our trying? Also when can you jump back on the horse? How successful is this? What should I expect if this is the direction I have to go?

Even though her partner did your DE there still would be notes if there were any difficulties during the procedure.
If you just need to have the HSG dye test then you can ttc that same cycle. There are a good amount of women who actually have success that month. We always used to say that it flushed out all the "cobwebs" therefore made it easier to conceive if nothing else was going on.
If there is some scarring found that needs to be resected then usually you'd be able to start ttc the following month. The recovery is simple the procedure itself is done outpatient.
The other thing to keep in mind is that not all OB's will do hysteroscopys if that's the case yours may refer you to an infertility specialist to have it done.
I hope that info helps!
I had the hsg done before this pg to rule out any scar tissue. Everything looked fine, the amniotic sheet was gone, likely removed during the most recent d and c. The procedure was pretty painless tho I requested some pain killer anyway, more for my comfort. It was done outpatient and I only spotted for a day.
I have also heard some women actually get pg that cycle, we didn't but we got pg the next cycle.
All in all it was very much worth doing for the peace of mind alone. My current Dr has said that if I were to get pg again, she'd like to do a hysteroscopy before just to rule anything else out since I'm still having PTL issues this pg.
GL!
