They are both very normal!! The seedy poo will go away in a few weeks and then you'll have like a mustard yellow to an army green colored poo! Consistancy of like peanut butter (Yum, I know!)
Sometimes you'll get the stringy/mucosey(sp) like poo and that is normal too.
As long as LO's poop isn't black, white or like tar in consistancy you are fine!

The peanut butter consistency is true of formula fed babies, I'm on my phone so I can't see if OP has anything about FF or BF in her sig. But breastfed babies typically have mustard yellowish, runny, seedy, sweet smelling poo.
Green poo in breastfed babies can signal a foremilk/hindmilk imbalance, where the baby gets too much of the skim milk that comes early in a feeding and not enough of the fatty milk that comes at the end. But I'm not sure about stringy, nor am I sure about FF poo aside from consistency.
Not normal for BF. Do you have oversupply? That could cause it. Also, DS had it when I first started pumping because I wasn't emptying my breast and he was getting too much foremilk and not enough hind milk.
I can't get the ticker to work, but I have two sons:
I just asked our pedi about this on Friday since I was worried about a hind milk/fore milk imbalance and he said it's totally normal. As long as their poop isn't black, white or red it's fine. He said it has to do with the bacteria in their system and how long it takes their body to process the milk. It reassured me anyway!
This is making me think that LOTS of babies must have blood in their poo but that no one ever checks for it. For us, green has meant blood, which led to elimination diets for me, or else special formula. :-P Poo can have microscopic blood or even visible blood that is very hard to find.
If green poo with microscopic blood is the ONLY symptom, how long did it take to clear? I'm off dairy, soy, peanut, tree nut, fish, and shellfish, and having a hard time getting rid of it. I know it could be a different allergy but the gastro doc said it could take several weeks to go away and I don't need to be more restrictive just yet. But I don't understand. I hear people say their baby was really upset and within DAYS it got better. Maybe those babies also have microscopic blood in their poo (and it took longer for it to go away) and they just didn't know about it?
