Hi everyone. It's been a long time since I posted on here. My daughter is now 3 months old. Things have been going great. I breastfeed exclusively, and that is also going very well.
A few days ago, my body has been acting very strangely. I am hot all of the time. This is very weird for me particularly because I ALWAYS am cold. I usually have the heat turned up to 80 during the winter, and go to bed with sweats on just so I can feel warm and cozy. In the summertime, I can go without the AC on. Now that I'm married, and Aaron is ALWAYS hot, I lowered the heat to 77 and still feel ok, but any lower than that and I'm cold.
Anyway... that's why it's so strange that I'm so hot now. I lowered the heat to 70, and I'm still burning up. A couple days ago Aaron said, "I love this! I wish the temp stayed this way in the house all of the time!" This morning when Aaron was getting ready for work, he said he was cold, and his hands were freezing. I have NEVER felt his hands cold. It was startling. I was still very hot. I have Faith bundled up so she stays warm.
What is wrong with me? It was 60 degrees outside and I stayed outside for a long time, and loved it. I have NEVER EVER been this way! It's sort of scary.
If it were hot flashes, wouldn't it come and go? On and off? I am hot constantly. Is this hormonal? I've also been having alot of headaches lately. Has anyone else felt this way after pregnancy?
I will go see a doctor if this continues, but would like to hear if any other moms have felt this way. Thanks.
Re: Hot Flashes? What's Wrong With Me?
I was in a constant state of "hot flash" after I had my son. Started and stopped bc trying to work out the kinks. I was defnitely better off of it, but still hot. Now that I am pregnant again I am freezing all of the time. Go figure.
Would definitely talk to your doc about how you are feeling.

It could be hormones, but you should check with your doctor. Also, agree with PP that you should take your temp if you haven't already...maybe you have a fever. If it is hormones, doc might be able to help with some BC pills or something. Good luck!
