I'm a big Giants fan! I was able to score VIP seats at the victory parade after the WS! This is how close I was:
DH isn't really into sports but he'll root for the Giants along with me if I have a game on.
Here is a vintage pic of DD:
OMG, jealous of those parade closeups! My parents grew up in the Bay Area, I was born in Oakland, my first memory is the earthquake during the A's-Giants World Series, and I was born bleeding orange and black for the Giants, so 2010 was pretty much the best.year.ever.
With that said, tonight's Cards-Nats game was amazeballs. Not a big Cards fan (unless they play the Evil Pinstripe Empire, in which case I will root for anybody, short of the Dodgers, from the NL. If it's Yankees-Dodgers, I root for rotator cuff injuries and torn ACLs), but the Nats had our number this season so I wasn't looking forward to facing them in the NLCS. The Cards are dangerous, though, as proven by those four 2-out runs in the 9th. Holy flying tuna, Batman! That was amusing. It's gonna be a good NLCS!
I am a huge Reds fan so this season ended on such a sour note! I am now routing for the Giants so if they win the WS I won't feel as bad for our loss haha...
