October 2011 Moms

Success? Nope.

So we finally decided to try to put E down for the night without nursing her to sleep. An hour and a half later, after probably running a mile going back and forth between the ends of the crib, she finally put herself to sleep.

We sat down to catch up on Survivor...45 minutes later, she's already awake again. Ugh.

  • That's kinda how it goes with sleep training and weaning. It's bad and then it gets better. It's so hard though, hang in there! It does take time and it's fine to do it at whatever pace your comfortable with.

  • That's pretty much how our first few nights went, too. It's tough, but if you keep up with it she'll figure it out. I know how frustrating it is though. Especially when they finally fall asleep, and you think you're in the clear for awhile. Then they wake up again in no time. That's the worst. Hopefully tonight will be better.
