MIL visited yesterday and I was telling her that DS usually takes two long naps a day one in the morning in his carseat while I'm running errands and I pointed at the carseat. Then her face changed and she preceded to tell me that I can't just leave LO in there alone at home while I go out. Really??!?? How can you actually think I would do something like that?? I've been taking care of LO by myself for over 3 months and she still thinks I need advice such as that. I felt quite offended that it would even cross her mind.
Just thought I'd share for a Friday laugh. Am I the only one with a MIL that thinks I'm incapable and feels the need to offer all kinds of unsolicited advice??
Re: Seriously MIL??!?
Wow. Seriously, she thought you left the baby at home?? "It's fine, he's asleep!" That does make me laugh!
Mine does this too. She told me she thinks LO is going to roll for the first time off the couch b/c we don't watch her. How she would have any idea what we do is beyond me b/c she's been over at most 1 hour three times since LO was born and she was sleeping one of those times and eating the other.
Wow, I can't believe she thought that!
