Griffin obviously has some gas issues going on and I feel so helpless. Gas drops don't seem to help and he is so hard to burp. Not sure what else to do.

Do you have a wrap? I find Henry burps alot when he is in the wrap. If you don't have you just try to hold him to your chest with two hands (so it's like a wrap) and walk around. Sometimes Henry burps 3 or 4 times when in this position. (DH doesn't want to try the wrap so sometimes he holds him like this)
2 things that work for us are 1] letting him lay flat for maybe 3 to 5 minutes after feeding and then pick him up. A lot of times Oliver will burp as soon as I pick him up. 2] I either bicycle his legs into his belly or hold his belly tight with my hands and "push" out the gas.

Are you sure it?s gas? I thought my LO had gas (and maybe a milk sensitivity), but it turns out he has reflux. Is he pulling away from the breast (bottle) when feeding? Any arching?
If he pulls away during feedings, it could be that he needs to burp. I have a very strong let-down and have to burp DD2 about 3-4 times during each feeding. I get the first burp probably after a minute of feeding her and it helps a lot. I also recommend the Biogaia like the pp mentioned, those work great for gas!

Bicycling the legs and rubbing the belly in a clockwise way works. Also, burp after an oz or so, even if that means pulling him off the boob or bottle. You can try different burping positions. Maybe do tummy time and patting the bum after holding upright for half an hr after feeds.
