iPhone 3GS toddler apps

I am trying to download apps for DS on my old phone, but everything I download comes without sounds. I check the settings and volume. The info says they are compatible with iPhone and I have the latest version of iOS so I'm not sure what's up? Anyone know of anything I can get that will work with a 3GS?

We have a lot of the Peek-a-boo apps (Wild, barn, fridge); Monster at the End of the Book (1 and 2), and the Fisher Price apps and they all work ok on our phones.
