Are cool mist humidifier's better than warm mist ones?
Lo is getting his first cold (or cutting his first tooth) either way he is so stuffy and I put the warm mist one on last night for him. It's the only one we have. I kept it on low though because I didn't want his room over heating and I kept the temp of the house lower just in case.

We all have colds so my LO has been really stuffy and snotty for 2 weeks now. I just bought a cool mist humidifier this week and have had it on the last two nights in his room, only at night while he's sleeping. I haven't noticed any difference in his nose though.
I've done research on this. There is a huge difference between warm and cool mist humidifiers. Warm mist is better for when its cold out because it makes the air feel warmer, and when its warm outside use a cool mist. I found a humidifier that does both at walmart. Hope this helps!

I didn't get one until DS was 18 months old and got sick for the first time. I only use it if he is congested. It's a cool mist humidifier and very effective. I would use it during naps and at night for a few days at most.
