My sister found the "Baby Soother" app for me, and it is a godsend! It has different varieties of white noise and can be set with a timer to go off after a period of time. It is free for iPhone and Android. Try it!

If you're a "shusher"...there's also a great iPhone app called "Baby Shusher" ...there's a free version but the paid one is obv better... Worked wonders for us in the hospital and upon occasion I still use it and it works like a charm with DS.

Someone else on here recommended this app, and DS2 is definitely digging the vaccum sound.  It was amazing when he was freaking out in the carseat and we still had 10 minutes before we got home.

I downloaded a different one in the middle of target yesterday when k went nuclear. Worked instantly! Dh just laughs because I said smartphones were a waste of money and I just wanted something to make phone calls! :
