Is neosure chunking up anyone else's preemie??

Bennett had his 2 month appointment yesterday and his pedi already wants him taken off of neosure. He is 21 inches long and 10 lbs. I can't believe he went from 4lbs 5oz to 10 lbs in 2 months! She couldn't believe how chunky my preemie is.  He has wrist and thigh rolls. I LOVE it! My three year old never liked eating much, even as an infant, he has always been super skinny. Who would have known my preemie would be my chubby baby and not my full term baby? She said to finish up the rest of his neosure and switch to regular formula . She compared him drinking neosure to us eating cake for every meal  I just bought two new cans of neosure a few days ago so he's got a few more weeks of chunking up and eating his cake before switching to regular formula.

Wow! I hope my little dude follows in your kiddo's footsteps. He also was 4lb5oz at birth. I doubt he'll make 10lb at 2 months, but how awesome is that!

Neosure doesn't just have extra calories. My DD was a preemie and was on neosure for the whole first year--even though she was really chunky at the end. The neonatal dietician said neosure has nutrients babies are supposed to get during the third trimester. They just don't make a regular calorie one that still has those extra nutrients.

Yes, neosure really put the rolls and fat on my 34 weeker. At her 4 month appointment she was over 14lbs and at 6 months old she is up to 18 lbs. I want to say those first 2 months on neosure really put the pounds on her. My 33 weeker was only 19 lbs at a YEAR old!!

My girls are chunky too. I'm thinking they might get rid of the neosure soon. They are 4 months and a month ago were 13lbs already. A friend of mine has a full term baby 3 weeks older and my girls weigh more! My problem is their alk phos levels are always high
