Just wanted to introduce myself. On 28 Sep I was sent to the hospital because my blood pressure was 210/118 and I had protein in my urine. Upon arrival at the hospital, and after a blood test, I was diagnosed with severe preeclampsia and HELLP syndrome. One hour later I had a c-section and my beautiful little man entered this world. He didn't have the typical lung issues that preemies usually have, but they admitted him to the NICU because he was 4 hours under the 35 week mark. Tomorrow will be 14 days in the NICU after 8 days without any lung issues or medical intervention and 3 days of maintaining his temperature on his own. He does have inconsistent feedings but has been gaining weight and has never lost any weight after the initial loss after birth. Has anyone on here gone through the same thing and have an idea of how long he will be in the NICU? The doctor said that he was on track to go home today and then when we arrived, they mysteriously changed their minds and said that he has to get up to 360 mL a day to be released. The past 4 days he taken in 360, 370, 335, 335 respectively.
Thanks!

I can't wait for the "im getting a divorce" post in 5 years or so because your husbands were fed up with your disgusting chair asses from playing on the knot all day and getting fired 4-5 times for not doing any work. you guys are all winners!! ~ Laur929
My baby was also born at 34 weeks 6 days. She was in the NICU two weeks, but I don't think she had as many of the issues that you had. They did want to get her feedings up to a certain level before she could go home, but I can't remember what that was! I just know I was so happy to finally take her home. And she's doing great now!
