Pregnant after 35

@sushine3981

I just want you to know that I 100% understand the black hole you are in right now.  It is such a terrible place to be, and I am so sorry you have to go through this. It's almost like time stands still and nothing matters.    I will be thinking of you and wishing and praying for good results for your CVS and your little one.   Please don't lose hope, we were given such awful odds (10% normal baby), and fingers crossed, but so far things are ok.  The genetic counselor told us that with a normal karyotype, the risk for heart disease goes down to 10%, and we are praying for a normal heart.  I will be thinking of you and your family and I pray for happy news for you.  Please keep me posted, and if you need to vent, I am happy to listen!

Re: @sushine3981

  • Thank you so much for your kind message.  I can't tell you how much it means right now, but I guess you already know having been through it.   I don't know if I have ever felt so alone before, it's so hard to talk about to anyone, even my husband.  I will keep you and your baby in my prayers for a normal heart.  Considering the odds you have already beaten the 10% seems very do-able.  I'm very nervous about my CVS tomorrow.  I have to skip my lovenox and aspirin tonight which I think is what allowed me to get this far in the first place.  Hopefully not too much can happen with that in one day.  Anyway, thanks for understanding and I am SO glad that things are looking good for you.  Thanks again, wishing you and your family all the best.
