Preemies

Intro

Hey ladies, I am hoping to join you. I had my twins girls at 34w4d on Sept 30th via emergency c/s. The girls are still in the nicu and probably will be there for a while. They are gaining weight everyday now but they aren't taking all their feeds via bottle. They like to fall asleep in the middle of their bottles. I have posted my birth story below for anyone interested in reading it.

Looking forward to getting to know you ladies and learning and sharing stories.

Re: Intro

  • Thanks for the warm welcome. I hope you are right and they start soon. They turned 36 weeks yesterday but they are still pretty small (2.12 and 3.8) so I'm hoping when they gain more they will stay awake and take all the bottle. I can't wait to spring them but not before they are ready ;)

  • Congrats Megs! I didn't know you had your girls! I read your birth story and it sounds like they are doing so great! I really hope their NICU stay is short. It's such a stressful time for you (personally the hardest thing I've ever gone through). ((HUGS))

Hey tonir! Thanks :) The girls are doing fantastic. They are gaining weight now every day. It is definitely hard to leave them there everyday but I know its the best place for them. It was definitely hard leaving without babies the first time from the hospital. Walking into the house it felt so empty. I hope their stay is short too.

  • Congratulations on the birth of your LO's. Praying that they are home with you soon.
