Whee! This is the thing we were waiting for . . . (XP from >35)

We have been waiting and waiting for the moment when we would be all pregnant and making a baby. This is the moment! This is what it is supposed to be like and, wow, it is wonderful! I'm so happy. As background, we got our +hpt a couple days before we got married. First IUI, known donor, world's teenyiest dose of follistim, trigger, and only one IUI. Just so wonderful and easy. Our RE said, "don't get used to this." We laughed. A nurse said, "I've been here for years and I've only seen two other couples get pg off the first IUI." So we feel so stupid lucky and are immensely grateful for our good graces.

Here is a quick (and accidently slightly anonymous!) shot of my 18 week belly. I'm excited that I am looking pregnant . . .

. . . With our darling baby BOY! He was very clearly a boy at our 18w A/S. All the little parts looked wonderful, his heart, his brain, his limbs, and my supporting organs. With my bloodwork and the good scan, they see no indcators of any trouble. Just so happy. Here he is sucking his thumb.

I'm freaked out. : ) Our DD, 9 is freaked out, but happy, and I think it helped her to hear that I was super nervous. But we hugged her and told her that we will figure it out together. Glad for some boy in our house. My side of the family hasn't had a boy forever, so we need this. DW's family is just over the moon with happiness, her mom esp.
