Need your help, ladies!

I am TTC my first so kinda clueless. Obviously I don't usually post on the baby boards but I am going to a first birthday party and need help.

It is a little girl so I started searching on amazon and am thinking about buying this toy here. Is that a good choice? I really don't know what the "it" toys are or much about 1 year olds.

My girls LOVE that toy. We've had it for almost 2 years now and it's held up great, never even needed to replace the batteries.

That is adorable...I might just order one for DD LOL...she loves to sit on the floor in the kitchen and play with bowls/pots and pans, etc. while I'm cooking...I think she would definately love playing with that!

Books are great.  I have two young nieces...pink and princess...Lego & Little People now makes Disney princess sets.  I recently bought my niece a craft doll she can add the hair and decorate her dress on her own.  She seemed to like it a lot.
