But I love the name Shenae for a girl, like Shenae Grimes from 90210
I'm a dancer and Shenae is the name of a ballet/jazz turn. I've just loved the name since I was a teenager.
My husband thinks it's a total african american sounding name, not that there's anything wrong with that, but we aren't
I've thought of variations such as Shay, or Shea
I know two girls named Shea, however, it's supposedly more of a boy name
I don't think he's going to let me use any of them, sigh
What are your thoughts?
Re: I know you're going to give me Sh*t
I don't like the name Shenae. It just seems trashy to me, sorry.
Shea is a last name that I think is just fine for use if it's a family name.
What about Shana?

Well in ballet it's not spelled like that...I don't like it, regardless.
If you're a dancer, how about Martha, Giselle, Clara, etc...

That's all I could think too. I know a Shea and a Shay though.
Yeah, no offense, but I was thinking that you must not have been a dancer for very long.

When you say it out loud, it sounds like "Schnee" to me (pronounced shnay) which means snow in German.
