What type of detergent do you use?

We purchased Dreft from BRU a few months ago with a coupon, but normally its crazy expensive. I've read that you can use any detergent when washing baby's items long as it's dye and fragrance free and you rinse twice...we are about to run out of the Dreft and I was wondering, should we buy more (LO is fine with it on his clothes, blankets, etc.) or should we switch over to our family brand, Arm N Hammer sensitive skin which is fragrance and dye free? I'm an asthmatic with crazy allergies so we already use a brand that might work...

Sounds like your current detergent will work.  We use All Free & Clear for everyone in the family.

We use All Free & Clear.  I don't rinse twice though.  I was already using it before we had the baby.

I use the Tide Free & Clear, an I do an extra rinse.

I use Purex Baby and love it. Our local grocery store has crazy sales where we can get 50 oz for $1.97 so we stock up.

Tide Free & Clear.  I thought it did a better job than All F&C, but we've used both.

We use Dreft also, but I agree...it is kinda pricey. DM bought it last time she visited and babysat

 Walgreens sells it for $12 for 50 oz! 

We also used OxiClean Baby when DS was first born, but didn't like it. Just make sure you buy HE brands...if your washer calls for that!

We use 7th Generation Free & Clear.  I think most free and clear's will be just fine as long as LO doesn't have SUPER sensitive skin.

We use Method (Target brand) Sweet Pea baby detergent. You can order it online at Target or at Diapers.com-we buy in bulk to get free 2-day shipping. I order myself the Peony Method detergen.They both smell great and she hasn't had any reaction to either one.

All baby. Smells just like dreft but cheaper and works good

Still using dreft and will probably continue on it for a while. I am just running out from the bottle I got back before she was born. It was a really big one. It works, so I am just going to stick with it and use a coupon.

I would use the free and clear. Dreft has fragrance in it so Idk why it's called a baby detergent

I use All Free & Clear with regular cycle, no second rinse.

Since Dreft has so many perfumes and I heard other people had problems with it, we go with a combo of Arm & Hammer Free for sensitive skin and a homemade powder detergent: it is cheaper and less chemicals for baby!

We use Tide Free & Gentle (both DH and I have uber sensitive skin) and haven't had any issues with LO's skin. We don't rinse twice either, just regular wash cycle.
