In addition, we usually send the following sides: grapes, strawberries, cheese stick, raisins, fruit bites (yogurt covered), pretzels, tomatoes (DD loves them), etc.
sunbutter and jelly, turkey and cheese roll-ups, veggie fried rice (homemade, not take out), yogurt, beans and cut up chicken and veggies, grilled cheese
Re: lunch ideas?
DD goes to daycare five days a week, so this is a typical week for us as far as what we pack:
Noodles with parm cheese (and sometimes turkey meatballs, if we have them)
Uncrustables (PB&J)
pizza day (her school has pizza day once a week)
turkey and/or cheese roll up
dinner leftovers (chicken nuggets, grilled chicken, etc.)
Sometimes, we also do pita with hummus

better than us- our daughter goes 2x a week and I give her the same- PB&J on whole wheat. With a side of cheese and or strawberries.
I think she had a good variety since you want to make sure she will eat!
what about left over pizza? or mix up the meat on your sandwich with like turkey and throw on a piece of spinach?
