So last night this salesman came to our house. I was stupid and did an telephone survey and this company selling air purifiers said they wanted to set up an appointment to show us their product and that I had won a Slap Chop or a stay at a resort. As they wouldn't tell me the chain of resorts I opted for the slap chop. Because I wanted to see this air purifier because the little dude and my DH both have horrendous allergies I agreed to the appointment.
We set up the appointment for 6:30, the guy showed up at 8:00. He showed us the purifier and then started this long demo with this vacuum. By the time he was done his spiel it was 10:30. We told him we didn't want the vacuum but we were interested in the air filtration system but the timing is bad and we don't like to finance things could he give us his info, we are willing to eat the discount on the air purifier if he was willing to come back after Christmas. I know it's his job to ssellout he got belligerent and said,"I see your house, I see the stuff in it, are you really going to sit there and tell me that $1450 tonight is going to break you?"
"seriously dude at this time of year, yes it is. We have 8 birthdays, two baptisms, a wedding, Halloween and Christmas to contend with. Not to mention growing children. $1450 is a lot of money."
"you are going to tell me that knowing the type of air pollution that is in the house you are going to let your children live in this for another few months rather than stop penny pinching because you want extra money for the holidays?"
"you know about global warming right?"
"yes"
"you know that every car on the road contributes to global warming right."
"Yes"
"you know that by driving a more fuel efficient vehicle you can help the planet last a little bit longer right for that new baby you were showing us pictures of right?"
"yes."
"what kind of car do you drive?"
"Dodge Charger."
"you don't want to save the planet because you want to look cool rather than drive something less cool but more efficient. I want to wait until its more financially responsible for me to make a large purchase. Your argument is invallid. Shut up."
And with that I went to put my daughter to bed. The guy then left without giving me my slap chop. I am calling and demanding my slap chop today.

I would totally call to get your snap and chop but also to report the douchecanoe!
How unprofessional! 1.To show up so late for an appt. 2. For the comment about "I see your house and how you live, etc". Totally inappropriate. I doubt the company wants to be represented by someone like him. Even if I had wanted the product, I probably wouldn't have bought it based on the sleazy sounding salesguy.
What an azz.
We just had a salesman come by and do an estimate on windows, 33,000.00! Yikes. I told MH, I told you we would be doing the windows ourselves. At least I I really liked the sales guy and I felt bad about not buying them but really not 33,000 dollars bad.
