Would like to know if anyone is using this and if so what has your experienc been like? My guy still is spitting up and he is also on Zantac for reflux. Aslo, his stool is super loose and stinky. lol Though i am told that this does cause stinky baby. :-) I have tried other formulas, but he seemed somewhat colicy and this was recomended. It has helped I think for this issue.

Re: anyone using alementum?
We used nutramagin with DS1 (enfamil's version of hypoallergenic) because he had a dairy allergy and soy intolerance. It's really expensive and yes, does kind of smell. We switched to soy formula as soon as DS' stomach was mature enough to handle it (4ish months).
It's only something I would use if it's the only thing they could handle. But whatever it takes to make LO happy is worth it!

We used it from 8 weeks through age 1 with DS1. It was a god send. He had some pretty bad allergies and couldn't digest cow's milk protein. He also had reflux. I would say it took a good week for us to see marked improvement after switching to it, but then he was a whole new baby. As PP said it won't stop the spit up from reflux, nor will Zantac, but they should both help with the pain baby feels when he/she spits up. As far as loose stools, give it time. As I recall DS's were loose for a short time after switching. Then he got constipated, before finally regulating. It just took a while for his bowel to get used to the new formula.
Good luck!!
