AW: My heart is healing!

I'm sure most of you do not remember, but I had a difficult pregnancy. I developed a hole in my heart due to extreme edema. I have been on medication and a low sodium diet for a year. I went to my cardiologist yesterday and the echo shows that my heart is pumping at about 50% capacity (compared to 28% last year) and he thinks in two years I should be healed. Yay!

I already knew this, but the doctor also gave the final word in me having more children. He said that the chances of my heart weakening again with a second pregnancy is really high and next time my heart will have a very low chance of healing again. So I am one and done. I'm okay with that. MH and I had the conversation in January. I'm just relieved that I'm on the mend.

I am so glad to hear that you are healing up well and should hopefully have full capacity again within a couple of years. This is great news! I am also glad to hear that you are OK with being one and done for your health and the ability to care for your LO.

Off topic but I see you are in Montana. Where are you generally speaking of course?
