Is it rude to not reply to FB invites?

You know those invites you get via FB where the host sends it out to everyone in her contact list for a party to try and get you to buy a purse, or jewelry, or cooking supplies, or scrapbooking stuff. 

 Do you respond? If so, do you give a reason why you cannot make it? Is it rude to just ignore?  I don't feel like I was "specially" invited with a mass FB thing, so my feeling is ignoring is a legit option, but I am curious what others think...

I don't think it's rude. Not everyone lives on FB. If someone really wants you to come to a party/gathering, and they read that you haven't responded to a FB invite, then they should call. Just like in the olden days!

Also, these people don't know how often you go on FB. They shouldn't expect responses from everyone. If it were important or a formal event I would expect to have an invite either sent to my personal email actually addressing me, or have one mailed.

If it has the "join"/"maybe" option, I ignore. If it has a "decline" option, I "decline".

ETA: I don't think it's rude to ignore when it was obviously a mass invite.

I hate it when I get mass invites. Especially when I haven't had an actual conversation with the invitee in months. Ignored and on my sh!t list.

I decline all of them, regardless of what it is.

That sundae for dinner invite I got? I declined it. I looked like an assss in that one.
