I mean that in a very loving way.
:::cough:::
I feel like my almost 4 year old ds is doctor jeckyl and mister hyde. At school, he's quiet as a mouse and listens like a dream. At home, it's like he loses his mind and he's a bundle of giggling, semi-crazed maniac who can get pretty silly and loud. It sometimes becomes no-so-fun-anymore craziness and he sometimes gets himself into trouble, like throwing toys because he thinks it's funny.
We're wondering if one more day in preschool might do him some good (he's in 2 full days 9-5). Don't get me wrong, he's a very good boy, but boy, he gets crazy silly and sometimes it takes the fun out it.
Re: Are your 3-4 year old complete spazoids?
I'd probably put him in FT or at least PT 5 days a week.
I just think they have so much energy at this age - unless you live on a farm or have a super active lifestyle, its too much energy to contain at home regularly. They are like puppies - they need other puppies to play with and keep them engaged. We are boring and really just want to unload the dishwasher, you know?
DD has been in daycare FT since she was a baby, so I'm sure my perspective is different - but yeah, they're all nuts.
Yeah, that's what the doctor told me when I mentioned it to her a while back. I agree, but sometimes it's hard to remember when I'm frustrated because he's wound up...lol.
This, but I send DS up and down the sidewalk to the corner and back while I time him.
We do this too. She loves to run! And yes, she's a spaz!
