Winter PJ's

What does your LO where to bed during cold winter months? Right now my DD almost 3 still sleeps w/her sleep sack (which she likes) but I want to stop using this but I'm trying to figure out how she'll keep warm since a blanket will come off thru out the night...yes, she's still in crib.

Re: Winter PJ's

  • DD wears fleece footsy pj's.  She also sleeps with a blanket, but it comes off.  This has been warm enough for her.

  • DD1 wears 2 piece PJ's, but refuses socks. She sleeps with two blankets, and they stay on her pretty well (in a toddler bed).

  • I was thinking about this as well. I'm going to have to find some 2-piece fleece PJs b/c I think the zip up footed PJs would give DD problems going to the bathroom. DD doesn't move too much once she is asleep, so I go and tuck her in again before I go to bed.

  • We had DS in 2 piece fleece PJ's when he was still in his crib last year. We did keep socks on him just in case his blanket came off. He never woke up from being cold, so I'm assuming he was ok. Now he is in a toddler bed with a fitted AND flat sheet and a comforter, so I think we will do the same but go without socks.

  • I wish my DD would wear PJs. She prefers to strip down naked before bed and put her tutu on. So, every night after she falls asleep in the corner of the room, we get to redress her and put her in her bed. I hope she kicks this habit before she is a teenager Smile

  • My oldest wears whatever he wants.  The old doesn't seem to affect him at night.

My dd wears footed fleece pjs with her sleep sak.

  • DD is PTed and the footed jammies would be a disaster. She wears 2 piece PJs. I may try socks if she tells me her feet are getting cold. we recover her before we go to bed and she is now (3 yrs 2 months) getting better at pulling on her own covers. We just try to keept he heat at a temp where it is not a big deal. unfortunately our room gets WAY hotter than theirs so it means i'm sweating, wearing summer PJs & occasionally opening our window in winter. ugh.

DS is a different story- not PTed, still not able to or interested in pulling the blanket over himself but he moves a lot less than she does so the blanket moves less too. I will put him in footed but he frequently unzips them and/or takes them off during the hour it takes him to actually go to sleep every night (a whole other story...). So we just do whatever w/ him. But once he PTs at night (when he is like 10 yrs old at this rate) we will prob stick to the 2 piece.

  • DD wears one piece fleece footed PJs.  When it starts to get colder I will put an undershirt on and socks under her footed PJs.
  • I'm not sure what we'll do yet. DS doesn't really use a blanket (at least, not correctly) but he revolted against the 1 piece pjs last year, so I can't imagine he will let me use them this year - but I might try. His room is the coldest in our house. I'll probably go with long sleeved 2 piece pajamas with an undershirt underneath, and socks.
  • Footies and two pieces.

  • We do two piece piece pajamas or footed pajamas. DD2 sleeps with a blanket and seems to keep it on pretty well.

  • Costco currently has Carter's footed fleece jammies. DD loves them. I have to fight her to get out of them every morning.

  • Fleece footed PJ's are way to hot for my kids since the house heater is always on. We do long cotton PJ's with sock and they have slippers to walk around the hard wood floors. We are thinking about getting them each robes from PBK this year to wear around in the morning. They just sweat when they wear fleece to bed it's too much for California in the winter.
