DD has had maybe 3-4 accidents in her room at bedtime/getting dressed. Normally just a tiny bit of pee, but at least once it was a lot. I quickly cleaned them all up, but eh aparently not well enough, b/c there's a bit of smell issue (ewwww).
What can I do at this point to fix this? I assume I could get the carpets professionally steam cleaned but I'm not really sure that will fix the pee stink issue. Also - i really can't visually identify where the stains are at this point since its a pale carpet.
Help please???
Re: ummmm - so there's some old pee in DD's carpet
Ditto the pp, also try a solid absorbing air freshener like this:

I buy scentless ones if I can find them, otherwise the linen scent. They absorb the bad odors. Won't get it out of the carpet, but should take care of the odor until you do.
I would saturate with 2 parts vineagar, 1part water. blot up, repeat with water. sniff. Smell like pee, repeat. smell like vinegar, repeat ith water. The tricky part is when you saturate it the pee "spreads" out, so make sure you blot all of it well. Blow dry on warm, sprinkle baking soda, let it sit, vacuum.
Except for our granite counter tops, I use baking soda and vinegar for everything in our house and haven't found a stain or smell I couldn't get rid of. Including stinky yellow infant poop that shoots well across a room of white carpet.
Enzyme cleaner from the pet store. It will get it out with one application. It's magic.
I just used some today to get yet-another "Hey, I take my diaper off when I have a poop and it gets ground into the cream carpet" moment.
It's magic.
I second the enzyme cleaner. There's one called Nature's Miracle, you can buy it at the pet store. It's natural & biodegradable. The vinegar thing would probably work well too.
You could try looking at the carpet with a blacklight in the dark. I know pet pee glows under a blacklight- not sure if human pee does too...?
