HELP! Is my DD going through a PHASE?

My DD is 10 months and a few weeks ago she has shown no interest in eating solid foods.  Before that she was eating really good.  We have tried everything.. from Purees, to finger foods, to Jello, to Almost everything.  She is still getting Formula in her bottle feedings.  We are just growing a bit concerned?   Any Suggestions???Crying

  • My LO started giving up on solid foods for a while too.  It ended up being a combination of teething and being bored with the same old food day in and day out.  So I've been trying new recipes to get out of the chicken and veggies rut. He was really receptive to eggs and potatoes. He went to sleep really early last night, so he didn't eat dinner, but we'll see if he enjoys the leftovers of the pasta and butternut squash sauce I made after his day at school.

  • I've found that when DD refuses solids it's usually because she's teething or sick.

She has 4 top and 2 bottom... so maybe she just isn't feeling well?

  • Did she just finish up a growth spurt?  As long as you're offering food and when you can get it in, that's all you can do.  Kids tend to go in spurts where they'll be hungry constantly, then not want to eat/drink anything...  Just need to stay flexible and not turn mealtime into a battle or worse try to force feed them, they'll eat when they're hungry and stop when they're full...

DD & DS both go through these phases, usually eat me out of house and home before they start a rapid growth spurt.  Also, when DS is teething he doesn't like to eat because it's super ouchy on the gums...
