  • That sounds stressfulI'm sorry. How often is LO eating during the day? How are solids going? Could it be teething?

  • yep, I feel you! my son goes through periods of waking every 1.5 hours. Currently it's every 3 hours. He will only go back to sleep (easily) with a boob in his mouth.

I feel the same as you - that I will have to wean shortly after his first birthday and it makes me sad. But I haven't gotten a full night of sleep since he was born.

I just wanted to offer a hug, and tell you that you are a good mom! Sorry I don't have a solution. My son eats well all day, and nothing we do makes a difference (earlier bed time, naps, etc).

  • There are a number of things it  would be.  Teething?  Abnormally causes LO to wake at night.  Or I suggest some form of sleep training.  It has done us wonders!

  • My lo was taking almost an hour to eat in the evening and then waking up constanly to eat all night long. My supply at night had dropped and he wasn't getting full. I'm able to pump a ton in the morning though, so i started feeding him for about 20 to 30 minutes and then offering 3 to 4oz of the pumped milk after i BF. He started STTN within a week. Poor little guy really was hungry! I then started taking fenugreek and pumping after i fed him at bedtime, and have gotten my supply back up so this is no longer necessary. Just my experience FWIW.
