Did you wait until LO was STTN or at least sleeping long stretches at night before transitioning to their crib? How did you do it? Anyone out there whose LO started STTN because they were moved to their crib? DS is in a RnP in our room now. I plan to move him to the bassinet in our room this week. After that, we'll eventually move to the crib. I'm just not sure when yet. He still eats about every 3 hours. Sometimes he'll give me a 4 or 4.5 hour stretch.
Re: Crib transition: wait until STTN?
LO is 3.5 months and we just moved him to crib last week. He has been sleeping in his own room since coming home, we really believe it's important for him to have his own time and to be comfortable in his own room. He has slept in the rnp since day one and has been sttn for about 4 weeks now. I did want to wait until he had really good sleeping habits before the move and although I was stressing about it, the move really hasn't been that bad. There have been a few nights he woke up once but went right back to sleep with his binki and having his cheek rubbed. I think he's about to go thru a growth spurt though so we'll see but we see not going back to the rnp...even though it was amazing!

We are transitioning from RnP to crib this week. I am probably just going to do it for the first stretch of the night because that's when they would sttn if they were going to do so. Tonight hasn't been great because one of my twins woke up with the usual 3-hour interval. We are going to keep trying in hopes that they will be more comfortable in the crib and sleep longer. Personally I am not very excited about them being in the cribs until they sttn because I have to tandem feed in the bedroom and then transition them to the nursery in the next bedroom, which is a big pain because I do night feedings on my own.
Hope all goes well for you
