inserting a picture, what am I doing wrong?!

ok January mommas, maybe I'm just being dumb BUT...

 Its worked for me in the past but recently every time I've tried to insert a pic on the message board (on HDBD for example) it wont work. I use tinypic and I feel like I've tried everything - IMG code, IMG URL, different sizes and nothing ever shows up in the preview...or in the actual post, and then i just look like an idiot

What am I doing wrong??

When you do the image code do you use the whole code including the brackets?
