We have known since we were dating what our children's MNs would be - Joy for a girl and Michael for a boy as they are both family names. We recently decided what we want for first names: Jenna if it's a girl and Cooper if it's a boy. What do you think? If you know of any negative associations with these names please let me know... our last name starts with an E and has three syllables. Also if you just plain hate them let me know that, too
And if you love them feel free to send me candy and other gifts.
Re: WDYT of our names
I like Jenna, and I like Joy. Together they're a really alliterative "Jenna Joy." Eh -- this seems weird to me. It's a little sing-songy.
Cooper happens to be my neighbor's dog's name, but I wouldn't think it was too weird to use it as a boy's first name. It's pretty trendy, right now, to make first names out of traditional last names.
All that being said, I actually like Cooper Michael.
I like Cooper. Cooper Michael is nice.

I dislike the name Jenna, and think it sounds really bad paired with Joy. I could go with it since it is after someone, but still don't like it with joy.
The only Coopers I've known are all dogs. I know 4 dogs with that name, so it's a turn off for me.

I thought the same thing. Jenna is okay and Joy is okay, but put together just seems like a porn name.
I really like Cooper Michael.
I really like Cooper and I like Jenna.
What about Genevieve for your little girl and using Jenna as the nn?

Thanks for the feedback! The Jenna Jamison thing did cross my mind... I know I won't be calling her by all three names all the time but I don't want her to get teased.
Maybe he'll just be a boy and I can stop worrying about it
