teachers - work from home?

Hello fellow teachers!

Do any of you know of legit work-from-home opportunities for teachers?  I have a cousin who is a teacher with a master's degree.  She is taking a leave of absence this year and teaching online college courses to teachers.  The pay is okay but not as much as full-time work.

Do you know of any other career avenues for teachers?  I'm feeling like I'm at a cross-roads with work and motherhood right now.  If I could prepare for a move for next year, I think I'd feel more optimistic.

TIA!

  • I'm not a teacher, but I was on tutor.com for a while.  That might work out for her.  It's not crazy money, but it's something.

  • I'm a teacher (on a 2 year maternity leave) and I've been in direct sales to make up the income while I've been on leave.  It's great money (I actually make more money than teaching and paying for my two children to attend daycare) so at this point I'm considering just staying home with my children and doing that until they're all in elementary school.

Supposedly there's an overwhelming number of teachers in direct sales probably because we like to be in charge, are usually fairly organized (used to planning), have good communication skills, etc. :)

I'm with Madison Handbags but there's a TON of great companies out there so it all depends on what would interest her and what she's passionate about!
