I'm still amazed

I'm still amazed how fertile everyone on this board is.  Reading the responses in the"One Year Ago" thread, the majority of you conceived the first month or two.  

Having spent a long period of time hanging out in the IFV board, I forget that that's what happens with normal people.

Believe me, I feel so lucky and a bit guilty that I managed to get pregnant by accident. I'd much rather that than unsuccessfully trying for years. I can't imagine how hard it must be to battle infertility.

There is no reason to feel guilty.  It is nice when people are appreciative.

There is no reason to feel guilty.  It is nice when people are appreciative.

The guilt is from being raised Carholic. What I meant was I don't think it's fair to have those two extremes. Why should I get an easy time getting pregnant and an easy pregnancy? Why should someone else have a terrible time with both?

We conceived our first month TTC, but had an early loss After some seriously crazy cycles we got lucky again, though I think charting had a whole lot to do with it. I spent the majority of my pregnancy on PGAL, and love those ladies for how brave and patient they are.

Many of our friends got pregnant on their first try. It took us 6 months, which felt like forever. I am grateful now that it was only 6 months.

I'm amazed and scared it happened the first month. Thank goodness I used 2 forms of protection before meeting DH.

It was only so easy for us because I lost so much weight before getting married. Two years ago, I wasnt having a period, was stressed to the point of hair falling out and skin breaking out like a teenager. It took me a yr to get my body back to a semi healthy state. When a morbidly obese person loses lots of weight their fertility rises ridiculously and sure enough 2 days after getting married we were pregnant.

It only took us 7 tries, and even I am caught off guard when someone says "we just decided to go without a condom this time and BOOM we're having a baby!"

I'm just very glad that I thought to have my thyroid checked when I did. Everything was perfect with my cycles and our timing, but it didn't happen until I was put on Synthroid.

After getting off BC I got pregnant in 5 months with my first son.  And when we started TTC again for 2nd it took 3 years.  THREE YEARS!!!  I had 2 MC's.  I got diagnosed with low egg count. Not what I expected at all.  When you get older its a whole different game for your body.  I will say that I should have done fertility treatment but got pregnant on our own (thank GOD!).  Liam is my miracle baby.

It took us 3 years and one MC.  We tried Clomid with no success.  I had been looking into adoption options when BAM....here came Natalie

Got pregnant on cycle 3 but we went through 1 year of preconception appointments which was hard when we wanted to just start trying like normal people.
